Which Way Do I Go?

Dex did his best to follow the ball and did an even better job following the coach's instructions to go to the far side of the field, even though he had no idea why he was down there.

Learning a New Game

This fall, we signed Dexter up for soccer through the local recreation department. The whole thing was completely disorganized - there was no coach for Dexy's team until the day of their first game so Dex jumped into the game without ever having played (or watched) soccer. He was completely clueless!

Immediately before the game, they did some kicking drills and I was so happy that Dex was able to kick the ball into the net fairly forcefully.

Houby Day Parade with Friends

Dex and I met our friends for the annual Houby Day Parade (a Czech celebration of mushrooms). Dex got to shake Pat Quinn's hand and shoot a basketball into a moving hoop. There were lots of confetti guns and candy being thrown from floats.

Most of all, Dex enjoyed spending fun time with his friend Tabitha and her little sister (he does a great job "looking out for" young ones). It was a great excuse for Mommy to spend time with her friend, Tabitha's mom.

Little Elvis at the Car Show

Ben took Dexter to yet another local car show (one of the perks of living near Route 66). Dex wore his Elvis sunglasses and found an Elvis car!

The car owners really loved Dexy's look (and awesome manners) so he got to sit in some classic beauties.

Dexy even got to "drive" the fire truck!

Riding the Rides

Our town had Octoberfest in September. Ben took Dexy to the festival where he rode rides ALL BY HIMSELF!The "loud" roller coaster...

 and a thrilling flying ride!
