Well, Dexter is certainly not scared of his potty. He happily sits on it and looks around (no poops or peeps though). However, when he's not sitting on it, he pulls out the cushy potty "seat" and chews on it (his 17th and 18th teeth are coming in so he's teething at the moment). Not exactly the kind of familiarity with the potty that we were looking for. Dexter's potty is now put away for a little while - we'll bring it out again later and hope he's no longer intensely interested in eating it.

I don't know if it works or not (mine is far from trying) but I have heard that as soon as they wake up with a dry diaper in the morning, they are ready for the potty. I'm going to try it and thought I would pass the info on.
