Tree Trimming

This was the first year that Dexter was really into decorating the Christmas tree. He had participated before but this time he was really interested in each ornament asking questions about where we got it, who gave it to us, how long we've had it. Endless questions.

He was great at hanging the ornaments (even working those little crooked hooks!). We had a lovely time as a family trimming the tree this year.

Lessons and Carols

Each year at Christmas time, the church where Ben plays has a special service full of singing and stories about Jesus' birth. Like last year, Dexter and I went to the service. We had a lovely breakfast together beforehand while Daddy rehearsed with the band. Dex ate a ton of french toast!

At the service, Dexter joined the group of children who processed into the service playing a variety of bells and shakers. It was so sweet to see all those children helping to make beautiful music.

Sledding Excitement

After our first big snow of the season, Dexter couldn't wait to go sledding. Daddy took him to the hill behind the library and they had a blast.

Dex is all about doing it himself. He wiped out going down the hill...

as well as climbing back up the hill.
